Who we are

Fastn works to improve the sustainability of families, no matter what their circumstances. We champion the development of relationship skills in childhood that sustain positive relationships for life.

We want to build an inclusive, committed and compassionate future for everyone. We do this by connecting people, sparking new collaborations nurturing ways that improve family stability in the UK. We work with people and organisations that have a passion for commitment and family to make healthy, committed and nurturing relationships a reality for all.

Family means different things to different people.

For us family is about the people around you, those who are important to you, those who support you and those you support. The definition of family has changed a lot over the last few decades and so should we. The work we support seeks to help families of all shapes and sizes, to be healthy, nurturing and dependable to all their members.

Our values

Inclusive

We take positive action towards equality, working to overcome barriers in order to make healthy, committed and nurturing relationships a reality for everyone.

Committed

We have a relentless focus, working through difficulties, celebrating success and recognising loyalty and dedication to do what is best for Fastn.

Courageous

We drive transformation and change, unafraid to ask difficult questions or take on new challenges.

Compassionate

We understand the extreme pressures families can face and bring empathy, sensitivity and encouragement to support individuals and families to thrive.

Fastn started life as a result of the generosity of the late Michael Oglesby CBE, and the foundation established by Michael and his wife, Jean. Michael was a successful businessman and attributed his success to the support of his family.

Through his extensive public service, Michael observed what neuroscience confirms to be true, that the support of healthy, nurturing and dependable family relationships have an enormous impact on health, learning and happiness. You can read more about Michael’s incredible legacy.

We remain enormously grateful for the support and engagement of the Oglesby Charitable Trust and the Oglesby family.WeIn
